At my kids’ school, I volunteer to photograph art projects for various classes, which we post on the website Artsonia. This allows the parents to see the art for the whole class.
This week, I photographed a fourth grade project, which is to stitch a map of Virginia on burlap. They learn the names and techniques of many stitches.
I was impressed by their art! Here are some close-ups of their stitching. It would be a great Trashmagination project recycling the burlap from a rice bag and scraps of yarn.
