During our Thanksgiving long weekend, our family explored Pittsburgh. And since my family loves me, we visited the Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse to see how it compares to other creative reuse centers we have visited. In front was a very cool piece of art made from recycled materials:
Inside, we were impressed by how HUGE it was compared to other centers we have visited.
Nora was instantly drawn to the library card catalog drawers filled with random categories of stuff:
And there was a LOT of categories, including this large table of trophies:
In one corner was an “Idea Center” with projects that people made using materials from the center. I should send them some more :).
I liked these flowers made from recycled paper:
Nora made friends with some mannequins:
In the greeting card area, I saw a quote that my mom always says:
Russell was excited to find temporary tattoos and purchased his favorite. We put it on his arm immediately. It featured dragons, which reminded Russell of his best friend, Keenan.
As we finished exploring, I found this mission painted above the cash register area – very nice:
Hooray for the Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse!
