Russell’s class had a market where they made things and sold them. He made two crafts from recycled materials – toilet paper roll monsters and clothespin lizards.
We got the ideas from:
* Toilet paper roll monsters by Alisa Burke – Rather than painting the eyes, we drew the white parts on labels and stuck them on. Sped things up, and also, if you don’t like your sketch, just don’t stick it on a tube.
* Lizard clothespins by Fun Family Crafts – they call it a clothespin alligator, but that mouth is a little short for an alligator, don’t you think? We called it a lizard and gave it a satisfying tongue.
