This is my second homework assignment as part of my Weaving a Life Leader certification.
Sight
I am my daughter’s face right after she was born, with unexpected black hair and looking around the room intelligently.
(Her face is woven from a soft blanket I have had all my life. Her hair is made from a recycled black t-shirt.)
Sound
I am the sound of my Taiko group playing in sync in the dark.
(Made from recycled t-shirts)
Taste
I am the taste of mango and sticky rice on my honeymoon on the train in Thailand.
(Made from wool that my daughter found – the perfect color, and beads she also found – because they look like rice grains.)
Smell
I am the way Bob’s shirt smells on his shoulder.
(Made from a recycled t-shirt)
Touch
I am the bumps on a rug I have made.
(Made from leftover wool from other projects)
The Universe
I am a swirling energy, some positive and some negative, but we seek to contribute to the positive.
(Made from the perfect ball of wool that has all my warp colors, and the swirl from turquoise – my color of creativity)
