My husband Bob has invented a very nifty smartphone stand by cutting a plastic sour cream or ricotta cheese container. He uses it all the time to prop up his phone to watch shows while washing dishes.

Download this awesome PDF with a template so you can quickly make your own smartphone stand from a recycled plastic container.

Here’s the idea:

• Get a 15 or 16 ounce plastic container. These are the type which typically hold sour cream or ricotta cheese.
• Print out Bob’s template & cut out the triangular shape.
• Hold it against the smaller end of the container and trace around it with a marker.

• Cut out that section of the container.

Now your stand is ready for holding your smartphone!
