Maker Faires and Community Events

Maker Faires and similar events are like show-and-tell events where people who make things share their creations. Trashmagination has hosted a table at three of these events over the years. Each event is a great opportunity to put Trashmagination’s inventions in front of people to hear their feedback. This weekend, Trashmagination had a table at KIDfest in Silver Spring, Maryland. In this podcast, I share observations about what worked and what didn’t, and how it can help me focus my Trashmagination energies going forward.

Maker Faires take place all over the world. To see a list of Maker Faires near you, check out makerfaire.com and you will likely be surprised by how many there are!

Here’s one more fun lesson learned – when you drill plastic caps with a drill press, often it makes this adorable little swirl of plastic!
