Two horse sculptures emerging from the wall

Sayaka Ganz, Plasticware Artist

Sayaka Ganz makes giant wildlife sculptures from plastic spatulas, hangers, toys and lots of other plastic items, and she’s one of my top 5 favorite creative reuse artists in the world. I am thrilled that I had the opportunity to meet Sayaka in person and see her Reclaimed Creations exhibit at the Asian Arts and Culture Center at Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland.

You can hear my original podcast that I recorded after meeting Sayaka in September 2019 in this YouTube video:

Teaching Jewelry-Making from Plastic Cutlery

The next day, I volunteered to help her teach jewelry-making from plastic cutlery at the Charm City Night Market. We had a lot of fun and the jewelry looks really professional!
