Mother's Day Card from Recycled Plastic Lids

Mother’s Day Card from Recycled Plastic Lids

This is the card that I made for my mom for Mother’s Day. The letters are cut from plastic lids – type five plastic mostly, like the kind you find in yogurt and coffee containers. This type of plastic is very handy for crafts and easy to sew on with a sewing machine.

My mom has always been a huge Trashmagination brain in my life. We have made so many crafts together, but one moment that really stands out in Trashmagination history was when we made our first green lifestyles evening at the Family Nature Summits. My mom was the #1 volunteer, teaching how to make button necklaces, gift bags from used cards, and make posters on a myriad of topics. She is always keen to bounce Trashmagination ideas. Like me, she’s always happiest when she is making something.

Happy Mother’s Day Mom! Thank you for all your Trashmagination ingenuity and support!
